We believe that therapy is a part of a healthy lifestyle
Life can get so busy so fast, we may feel emotions but have no time to see what is going on inside of us. Often, we push thoughts and emotions away because we don’t have time or don’t know what to do with them. This is normal, sometimes our hearts just need time and space to process what is going on in our lives, but we don’t know how or what to do. We get it. That is why, we need someone from time to time that processes life with us.
All of our therapists have been clients before, which is important because we have experienced both sides of the therapeutic relationship. This allows us to be professional and confidential yet relational.
Our desire is ultimately to equip clients with the tools to live a fuller life.
Getting Therapy Started
We can arrange a quick intake session before your first appointment, or you can choose to email us the completed intake forms—whichever is more convenient for you. Appointments are available either in person or via video conferencing. For online counseling, we use Zoom, a HIPAA-compliant platform that ensures your confidentiality through an encrypted video link provided on the day of your session.
Our first session will explain the client-therapist rights and responsibilities, including consent to receive counselling and confidentiality perimeters. During this session, we will conduct an assessment and create a therapy plan, which will be reevaluated after 10 sessions.
While in therapy, you can always ask your therapist for additional resources such as books, worksheets, psychoeducational workshops, or support groups. These resources can enhance your understanding and provide additional support during your therapeutic journey.
The duration of therapy depends on the individual and the nature of their concerns. Each treatment plan is tailored to meet unique needs and circumstances, ensuring a personalized approach that evolves as therapy progresses.
